Ramzan Special: Crispy Pakoras Recipe – Perfectly Golden & Crunchy with Shams Oil

Pakoras are a staple in every household, especially during Ramzan. Whether it’s a family iftar or a rainy evening snack, nothing beats the crispy and flavorful taste of freshly fried pakoras. Today, we bring you the perfect pakora recipe using Shams Cooking Oil, ensuring a light, crispy, and golden finish every time!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups gram flour (besan)

  • 1 medium-sized onion (thinly sliced)

  • 1 medium-sized potato (thinly sliced)

  • 1 cup spinach (chopped)

  • 2 green chilies (chopped)

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds

  • 1 tsp coriander seeds (crushed)

  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda (for extra crispiness)

  • Salt to taste

  • Water (as needed to make the batter)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Batter
    In a mixing bowl, add gram flour, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add water while whisking to form a smooth, thick batter.

    Mix in the sliced onions, potatoes, spinach, and green chilies, ensuring all vegetables are well coated in the batter.
